Deborah Postlethwaite received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New Mexico and a Masters in Public Health, Maternal-Child Health, from San Diego State University. She has done extensive research in emergency contraception and worked for the group who created Plan B. She has also worked on many Women’s Health projects across the country and is published in many nursing magazine and women’s rights publications. She works with women and couples to find a reproductive plan that works for them. She has knowledge of current options for emergency contraception and birth control and the effects they have on women. Postlethwaite’s experience with patients as well as service groups would be helpful in gauging a more personal perspective on how political decisions affect women.
