This book tracks how sex affects women in terms of reproductive health and discrimination. Karr includes the legal status of women and the laws protecting their privacy rights and freedoms as well as laws regarding gender equality and workplace discrimination. Although a majority of the book focuses on women’s rights in employment and education, the first part deals with reproductive privacy. Karr illustrates the importance of privacy and freedom in reproductive decisions. It includes past legislation as well as what needs to be done to promote equality. Karr as written and edited other books on gender equality and legislation.
